The New Jersey Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee works to ensure the ability of New Jersey’s Assembly Democratic Majority to gain the support and trust of voters in all corners of the state. Under the leadership of Speaker Joseph J. Roberts, Democrats have enjoyed their largest majority since 1979 and longest period of continued control in more than two decades.
Under Democratic leadership, the Assembly reformed New Jersey's auto insurance market and overhauled the former Department of Motor Vehicles; increased property tax relief for middle class families, senior citizens and disabled; enacted the first constitutionally sound, equitable school funding formula in more than three decades; ensured access to health care for every child; and passed the most sweeping government ethics reforms in nearly a century.
Over the past year, Assembly Democrats have made New Jersey a national leader in combating the national economic recession by acting on more than three dozen separate measures that are cutting business taxes and providing incentives to spur job growth, promoting small businesses and helping families facing foreclosure stay in their homes. Assembly Democrats are committed to making New Jersey an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
